I have recently received a letter from a traveler to Barcelona with information about Husa Oriente hotel in Barcelona. Thanks for the information and, as I promised to publish such letters, here it is.“We booked on-line after looking at various different sources for convenient and cheap accommodation in Barcelona and decided on this one for our trip to Barcelona. Our choice was Husa Oriente hotel in Barcelona because of its central location right on La Ramblas. This hotel was within walking distance to sights, great food, shopping, and the metro. Some hotel reviews, which we read while planning our trip, contained information about the noise from the street, and we were worrying about that. Fortunately, the outside noise wasn’t a problem for us at all.

We booked a double room. It was fantastic: spacious enough for us to move about and all our luggage and it was very-very clean. We had a small balcony overlooking La Ramblas. Amenities were just very basic - no fancy extras, but you get what you pay for: Husa Oriente is a budget Barcelona hotel. In the bathroom there was a powerful walk-in shower but not many toiletries, so bring your bath extras with you.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. When my wife asked for some extra pillows, housekeeping staff were very quick to bring them.

Breakfast was not included with our room and costs EUR 12.84 per person. Breakfast was served in the elegant dining room and contained a large selection of food which was all fresh.

We had a great time in Barcelona and recommend that inexpensive Barcelona hotel as it was really cheap and nice.

One of my relatives has visited Barcelona recently and keeping in mind my interest in Barcelona accommodation, he sent an e-mail with the hotel review. I am going to cite parts of his letter here. Thanks him!“So, I went to Barcelona for a short break with Stacy, she has never been there and I decided to show her some of Barcelona sights. I booked a room in Ciutat De Barcelona, 3-star Barcelona hotel in Princesa 33-35. I had received favorable reviews of this budget hotel in Barcelona from some of my local friends and I didn’t look for any other hotels in Barcelona. And I really enjoyed this cheap Barcelona hotel.

Ciutat De Barcelona was in a great location. The hotel is not far from the airport (you should take the train to Estacio de Franca and then walk for about five minutes to the hotel). Jaume metro station is in a 5-minute walk. La Rambla and very busy main shopping area is reachable on foot. There are also plenty of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques near the hotel. All in all, the location is very convenient for exploring the city.

Our room was spacious and comfortable with all the basic 3-star hotel facilities; king-size bed was a pleasant surprise. A lady at the front desk offered us a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the street, but we didn’t like it because of the bath absence (only shower). Then she kindly offered another room which overlooking a courtyard, so it was very quiet all day and night long. The terrace and the pool area of the hotel were great; we spent a few pleasant hours swimming there.

Buffet breakfast was not included in our room rate and we paid extra EUR 10.25 per person for our food which was very good.

We liked Ciutat De Barcelona and recommend it for your frequent leisure and business trips”.

Hello!

I have recently spent seven nights at the budget Barcelona Hotel - B Hotel Barcelona and as I was very pleased with my experience, I would like to share information about this 3-star Barcelona hotel with you. I think that the B-Hotel is a great value. It is built in one of Barcelona’s most lively areas, Plaza Espanya. I usually prefer using public transport to get from the airport to the hotel, but this time I felt extremely tired, so I decided to take a taxi. It was quite easy catch a taxi near the airport and it took me about 20 minutes to get to the B Hotel Barcelona. Taxis in Barcelona are cheaper in comparison to other European cities, I paid 23 €. The B Hotel Barcelona turned out to be a few metres from the Convention Centre and Montjuic. The central part of the city is just a few minutes away by underground and the underground station is right opposite the hotel. The area around the B Hotel was very quiet and felt completely safe walking to the hotel at night after visiting some of my friends. I think it’s a plus point if you are a solo female staying at a hotel.

The B Hotel Barcelona is housed in a very stylish new building. I had already booked a room in the hotel, so I was given a very attractive and very spacious one. And there were very large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Placa D’Espanya and I must confess that the view was great! The hotel staff was very helpful and did their best to make my trip comfortable and relaxed.

Breakfast was not included and cost EUR 13.91. I tried almost everything they offer as I spent a week there - ham, bacon, tortillas, cheese, croissants, cereals, fruit, cookies, pastries etc. The food was OK.

One more thing I should mention is the small swimming pool on the roof of the B Hotel Barcelona.

The overall impression of the B Hotel Barcelona was very positive and I would definitely stay there again.
